When I started learning languages, hardest part was not knowing what to do. Each time you reached a new level, you entered uncharted territories, with no idea how to progress. That's why I built Phrasing to be opinionated. With just a few basic building blocks, Phrasing will be just as effective from day 1 of your language learning journey to day 1,000 — and beyond.

Over the years, I've studied dozens of languages, interviewed even more polyglots, and poured over the research. Through all this I developed my own opinionated methodology, The Phrasing Method, of which there are two components: a technique I call Contouring, and an app I built called Phrasing that largely automates this technique.

The goal of The Phrasing Method is to 10x your language potential. I want to be clear that that does not mean learning a language 10x faster. Learning a language is something that will always be measured in years, and anything saying otherwise is lying.

That being said, I do think the current approaches to learning a language are wildly inefficient. I believe we can leverage technology to learn languages more efficiently and more effectively. Learn more words, more grammar, more language in less time per day. Juggle multiple languages and remember them for longer with less effort.
