Expressions Overview
Phrasing is built around the idea of Expressions. Expressions allow anyone to learn and understand text at any level, in any language.
How to make the best Expressions
The most important thing people should know about Expressions that they are built to by long. Like, 10 to 20 words long long. They should be long enough for the Expression itself to have it's own context, and long enough that you can't remember how the Expression started by the time it finishes.
Expressions should also contain multiple pieces of new information. There should be lots of learning opportunities, not just a single word or conjugation. They should be long and foreign and intimidating; the less you understand the better! In a few weeks, you'll understand these Expressions, so aim high!
Expressions should also be complex. Not needlessly so, but there is no need for contrived Expressions. Use slang, multiple tenses, moods and cases; use intricate sentence structure, passive voice, idioms and verbal phrases. Nothing is off limits, and you're encouraged to jump in the deep end. You'll naturally pick up the basics first, that's just how our brains are wired, but having ample exposure to the more challenging stuff will make it leagues easier to learn.
If you're used to any other language learning application, this can take some getting used to. Phrasing is not about stripping down language to fit an algorithm; Phrasing is about using technology to make complex language understood.
When you're just getting started with Phrasing, and don't yet have a feel for Expressions, it can be good to think along the lines of how can I fit as much of the language as possible, in as few Expressions as possible.

Phrasing's extracting process will parse the sentence into phrases and words and connect those to our language graph. If you add chien・dog (male) in one expression and chienne・dog (female) in another Expression, Phrasing link them via the language graph. If you add parlo・I speak, parli・you speak, and parla・he speaks; she speaks Phrasing will link them all.
